The project

In 2023, Energia Per lo Sviluppo funded the construction of the château d’eau. This work completes an existing well, built in 2017 and funded by the Municipality of Merina Dakhar, thereby enhancing water access for the entire community.

• Thanks to this well, a one-hectare community garden has been established, providing a vital resource for local food security.
• The management and sustainability of the garden are guaranteed by the support of the Center for Territorial Development Promotion (a Senegalese entity), which ensures technical organization and daily monitoring of agricultural activities.
• Women of the community were trained in farming activities.
