In 2018, an old manual well built in the 1990s was transformed into an automated system powered by solar energy, making it suitable for agricultural irrigation. The well was created with the funding of the Antonio and Emilio Giaffreda Association.
The conversion of the well included: the installation of a solar pump; four photovoltaic panels of 250 Wp each; two elevated tanks of 5,000 liters, for a total of 10,000 liters.
- In 2023, the system was converted into a château d’eau, a more efficient structure for water distribution.
- The project was certified for the generation of carbon credits, thanks to the replacement of fossil fuels with solar energy.
- The women of the community were trained to carry out cultivation activities.
